My School Year offers a free trial that expires. Homeschool Tracker has been paid software for over 20 years. Teachers Pay Teachers sells individual templates. Even the "free" tools usually want your email address before you can calculate a GPA.
We built Proudly Homeschool because we believe the basic tools of homeschool record-keeping should be free and accessible to every family, regardless of budget. A GPA calculator, a transcript builder, an attendance tracker: these are not luxury features. They are the minimum requirements for documenting a legitimate education, and every homeschool family needs them.
Every tool on this site is fully functional from the first click. No signup. No email gate. No "create an account to export." No Pro tier with the good features locked behind a paywall. No app to download. No newsletter to subscribe to before you can use the calculator.
The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising through Google AdSense. You will see ads on some pages, but they will never interrupt your use of a tool. Ads never appear between the input and output of a calculator. They never pop up as interstitials. They never block the page. If you use an ad blocker, every tool still works perfectly.
We do not have a backend. There is no server storing your courses, grades, attendance records, or any other information you enter. Everything saves to your browser's localStorage on the device you are using. This means your data never leaves your device, cannot be accessed by us or anyone else, and persists between visits as long as you do not clear your browser data.
The tradeoff is that if you switch devices, your data does not follow you automatically. Use the PDF export feature to save your work, or manually transfer data between devices.
